How To Get Your First 1000 Subscribers This Month

Many people are scared to start building a list. I'm not sure why because it is not as hard as some make it seem. You only need a few things to get started and it doesn'take much time. This article will show you how to get started with your email list.

First of all you are going to need a few things. If you are not serious about building an email list then you can just stop reading this now.

1. An autoresponder - There are free ones but I recommend using Getresponse or Aweber.

2. A squeeze page - Take a look at what other marketers are doing and base your squeeze page after theirs. There are tons of reports showing you how to build a high converting squeeze page.

3. A bribe - This can be a PDF report, a video, audio, or anything really. Just make it something of value. Something that you yourself would give away your email address to get access to.

That wasn't so bad, was it?

Now, make sure you have your squeeze page uploaded to your host. You can use a free blog if you want but I always use my own website. Make sure you have a download/thank you page. This is where you will send people after they opt in to receive your free gift. Make sure your autoresponder is set up to send out an email immediately after someone signs up so they will have access to what they requested from you.

That's it. Now for traffic.

My opinion is the following. Feel free to edit or change this in any way you see fit. Some things work better for others and some don't.

Write Articles

I generally write 5 articles per week and have a link at the end back to my squeeze page. Submit them to ezinearticles.com.

Solo Ads

This works very well because the traffic is targeted. Try to find someone that will send you 100 or more clicks for a decent price.

Ad Swaps

This is my favorite way to get subscribers. Visit warriorforum.com or safe-swaps.com and start doing ad swaps.

This is when you trade emails with another marketer and send an email to each others list. This alone can be responsible for hundreds of subscribers every month!

thanks for the info. the idea of autoresponders scares me. i sense that it must be difficult for me. i never did any affiliate marketing or anything online biz yet and i really dont understand how it works, for example when u mention that you have to send the person that click on my promotional link to the squeeze page, how do u make all that "connection", how do u set all that up for it to go from one place to another. all that i find difficult.
WHAT ARE THE AUTORESPONDERS THAT ARE FREE THAT U SAY? and why do u recommend the ones you recommend instead of using the free ones? is there a big difference?
thanks. Milena.

Helpin ya out here Bryan, hope you don't mind!
To "Anonymous":
If you don't want to use a blog and will be starting a website, you simply sign up for one, (most of which have a free trial period, though a credit card will be required to secure a domain name, unlike a blog.) After setting up your website, you'll now be ready to "paste" in your' squeeze page, which should either have a place for visitor's to enter their email address, or a link taking them to the product you're marketing... If not both! Now, when they enter their email address, this is where the auto responder comes into play. It automatically sends their info to your auto responder so you can continue to send them emails such as offer's, newsletters, and... yep, you guessed it, Links. Now like Bryan suggested, there are free auto responders out there, you just have to get on google and look, however, a free responder isn't going to be as quick, user friendly, or as efficient as would AWeber, (My fave, sorry Bryan!) or other paid responders. Also, squeeze page builder's are avail, and some for free, to help make things easier for you! Good luck and cheers to a Profitable 2011!
